"I am so rich, I can afford to spend $60,000 for a car and leave it at the shop 235 days out of the year"
Just kidding... i too agree and am concerned about the relibility and quality issues. But you have to admit, they are beefing up there sales dept and ranked #1 for best website (trying to get you to buy there cars, u know) |

I was talking to a gentleman who owns a 1996 E320 (W210) and he was telling me how much he has spent to keep that thing running even though he bought it new.

not too sure. but he was getting annoyed as he was looking at $5k+ worth of work and he was carrying around a rusted out spring?!

I will have to admit...
I was cruising the dealership last weekend just for fun. Didn't feel any excitement perusing the model lineup...probably because I know in the back of my mind the honeymoon would be over shortly after leaving the lot!

Maybe its all a reflection of the German economy?
That said it seems the years 1996-1999 weren't to good for Mercedes reliability I would be very cautious buying a benz from these years. |

Funny you mention it, because Germany is spiralling toward deflation right now Replacing a rusted spring should be cheaper!
