Why Klann?

Is there any reason you want a Klann VS a Snap-on or another brand?

Snap-on works well

Snap-on has the WA92 which costs a great deal less and works great.

The Klann tool is specifically designed for Mercedes springs and much better then the Snap-On.

Check it out:

Sort of...

I can sell both brands. I guess it is a matter of personal preference. I sell more Snap-on spring compressors than Klann and I have no complaints on the Snap-on.

I dont think that the Snap on spring compressor will work on mercedes springs. You cant get it inside the spring housing from the front A arm on a w124.

Mercedes contracted Klann to make the tool.

Hazet makes a really sweet one from the outside, but its like 2k.

The Klann is simply the only tool I would touch when working with the front springs of a Mercedes. It was designed to do the job right, safe and easy. If you can do a group deal, it would be the smartest thing to do.

The snap-on doesn't travel enough way to safely compress the spring.

Kind regards
Eberhard

Great picture to illustrate the point.

What is that undercoating stuff? Was that your project?

Well. This picture also demonstrates the benefits of a product called Fluidfilm. I refreshed the bitumous undercoating which got applied years ago. The bitumous stuff dries out over the years.

Kind regards
Eberhard

If anyone is interested in a group purchase of the Klann KL-0025 kit, please drop me an email at rc51@cableone.net ... can probably get them shipped to you for under $600 this time. If there's no interest, oh well, thought I'd ask!
