These transgressions occur swiftly. Justice not so much. The only hope ( seemingly) is for the $ to eventually influence future behaviors. A long uphill climb.

I'd say the majority of the sheeple do not understand the difference between a bond and insurance. If each individual police officer were required to pay for and post bond, we would see very few Tony Timpas.

Why? Because in the event of a lawsuit where judgement is rendered against the police officer, the bonding company steps up and pays the judgement to the victim's family. After the trial, the bonding company then COLLECTS the full amount of the judgement from the police officer. In this scenario, the police officer is held 100% financially responsible for the damages he/she caused to the Tony Timpas of this world.

Now, do I believe any of us will ever see individual bonding of police officers during our lifetimes? that, my friends, is the question of the hour.....

NEWS FLASH; If the GD cops would stop putting their knees in the backs of arrestees while they are hog tied face down with their faces in the dirt they wouldn't need insurance or a bond. If these lunatics had simply called the ambulance and treated the man with a measure of respect and dignity there is a good chance Tony Timpa would still walk amongst the living.
