Mercedes Unimogs set record climb of world's tallest active volcano!
They drove up Ojos del Salado located in the Atacama Desert in Chile. The record setting altitude achieved was 6,694 meters — 21,962 feet — above sea level. That's nearly the full height of the volcano, which is 6,893 meters or 22,615 feet. For example, they went higher than Clarkson, Hammond and May when they went to the Atacama Desert. Of course, they had some modifications from MBZ, making them custom built for this particular record climb.

I’ll bet that sucker was turbocharged in order to deal with that altitude. Did those guys have oxygen?
