This was totally new to me. Like a v-8 had unnatural relations with a Wankle.

Now, Sydney Camm, there was an engineer. Who actually made real stuff that mattered in the real world.

I have over the years seen a lot of engine design variations. Although never cam engines. Interesting.
There are still a few older Mazda products for sale locally with wankle designed engines. Our common engines today remain the same basically after over a hundred years for fundamental design principals. The other oddity of my time was the three cylinder two stroke engines in the German DKW cars. There were a few in my neighborhood where I grew up. Last edited by barry12345; 12-08-2019 at 04:31 PM. |

The Stanadyne fuel governers (injection pumps) in 6.2 6.5 diesels (5.7's too, along with quite a few tractors), work very much similarly to the
