Friend's truck hit a deer and airbag deployed. Body in good shape except crack bumper. She replaced the airbag but the airbag warning light is on. What next?

On many cars, the airbag module has to be replaced after it has operated. Others require a scan tool to reset it so it works again and can only be reset a couple of times before requiring replacement. You'll get an idiot light until the module is replaced or reset.

This is what i suspect. I will replace the SRS module. Anyone knows where is the module location?

I would take it to the dealer and see if it can be reset. I think this year has separate modules for the drivers and passenger side.

You need to scan the system for codes and proceed from there. If the truck has a seatbelt pretensioner it likely blew and is setting a code. Or the system just needs to be reset with a scan tool.
