Two thoughts. List is too long; List is too lame.

I am guilty of this.
Dexy’s Midnight Runners: Your shower smells like Skittles and unfiltered cigarettes. Come on Ilene.

Good thing we all don't have the same sense of humor, I suppose. Variety is the spice of life.

I like the list, but that's a bunch of pretty lame bands. There is a bar band in Northern Virginia called "The Reagan Years." They do an excellent job covering songs of the 80s. Kind of a good news/bad news situation.

There are some great bands in that list; lots of schlock, but lots of good ones, too. But that's my opinion, and I certainly don't expect everyone to agree with me. In any case, it's an entertaining list.

I agree with that, although I might quibble with your use of the word "great."

I'd call The English Beat, The Smiths, The Clash, REM, DEVO, and maybe a couple more "great." YMMV, but that's the beauty of "greatness" -- it can be different for everyone, and it's pretty hard to disprove opinion.

Speaking of musical eras, the music of my parents' youth (30s and 40s) has stood the test of time better than most. I'd also say the music of the 70s is underrated. FWIW.

I like the list. It could have been a bit more wild though.
To many acts that could have been added. Cory Hart : forgot sun glasses while having teeth cleaned. '80s Trivia: What 80's Pop Star was in 'Easy Rider"? Tom |

I didn't see Gary Glitter on the list. Aklim says that he is his favorite singer.
