Answer to Who The Greatest Guitarist is

Les Paul died today at age 94. Perhaps it could be said that he was and is the greatest guitarist, not just for his playing the instrument, but because the inventions of over-dubbing and electrifying the guitar were his. We guitar players will miss you, Les.

What about Link Wray? He totally revolutionized guitar playing by inventing the power cord and emphasizing the distorted, overdriven sound.

Les Paul is dead???
Oh man!

As was posted he INVENTED the electric guitar. I remember an old movie with him in it as a great novelty.

The entire music world lost the person who is probably the most influential in music of this era.

Not only the electric guitar but multi-track recording and delay were his ideas. He was still active and playing recently.

Gibson never made a "Link Wray"...

And I think you meant power "chord"...I was thinking "Wow! How did we get along with electricity for years without this guy's invention!???"
