I wear polarized glasses and I have seen S class Mercedes with some sort of coating on the windshield. It looks like is has a blueish/purple tint to it. Anyone know what this is/does?

Same as your glasses; blocks UVs. The blue also helps sharpen some colors and cuts down on glare.
