There's more subliminal suggestion here than I care to even think about.

I always think of the fact that Don Rickles would not have had a comedic career if he did his routines today instead of decades ago!

What's your take on this?

Homophobic?

Funny?
All the drag queens I know loved it...

It was pretty funny and kind of dumb wasn't that the point?

Anyone who thinks its homophobic needs to get a hobby, because they seem to have way to much time on there hands to worry about stuff like this.

Eventually, there would be a lengthy and heated debate on the merits of synthetic vs. dino oil.

Personally, I didn't think it was homophobic. But then again, I am not gay, so I am not sure if I am qualified to comment on that particular issue.

I thought it was disturbing though. That Snickers bar looked like a piece of turd (as someone else commented).

What about the Carl's Jr. commercial (I think it is Carl's) where men finally revolt and give up "sissy" food and opt instead for "real food" i.e., meaty burgers.

As the men are marching down the street, going after a real burger, a banner unfurls from a building and it reads something like this: "Real men eat meat."

That can be taken in so many different ways.

Offensive comedians do just fine, so long as they are funny. Howard Stern is a prime example. He succeeds despite being offensive because he is funny.

Odd/pathetic that this gets more buzz than the GM commercial.

Marketing genius, since most ads have to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

It was a tasteless ad, but I'm sure most everyone has heard about it by now. It's a great way to get the Snickers name out to a demographic that probably forgot all about candy bars.

Frankly, it would have been slightly more palatable if they had used Paris Hilton and her sister, dressed in French maid outfits.....

So what if it was homophobic? Homophobia and tolerance are not mutually exclusive ... are they? If there was any intent, it was more likely to point out the silliness of homophobes, not to denigrade homosexuals. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just an anti-homophobite.
