This is interesting. Maybe now we can see what happens when you give a school district the resources it needs to educate.....

i think i drove through pinedale when out there.
if they use the money to reduce class sizes to about 12 kids they will probably produce results. all educators know that small class sizes will work. but it is very very expensive and most school systems cannot afford it. lafayette school corp annual budget is about 60 mil. if i remember correctly over 80% is for staff. so reducing class size to 12 would about raise that by 48 mil or so. and they would probably need more schools since the need for classrooms would double too. so that wouldnt be a problem here since we have closed three or four in the last five years due to declining enrollment. this is in a community of about 48,000 so the increase would be what 1000 per person per year? or maybe 5000 per household? more power to wyomming if they can afford that. it is a lot cheaper to buy fancy school buildings and computers for the kids than increase the staff size! tom w
