Too big...

WAY TOO BIG......
I about ***** straight up when I saw 375 in July. It had never been that high. Then our August bill came, and it was 445 !! I guess every day being 100+ outside has it’s ill effects. We’ re stuck with Tri-County here.

Good thing the hangars aren’t air conditioned!! Only gas heat for them.

$468 this month!
Its seems I'm stuck with Cap Rock Energy. No de-regulation here due to the work of a good ole boy PUC lobbyist.

Thank you David Sibley!

$205.22 for August 2006. Statement shows 2158 kWh, down from 2346 kWh during the same period last year. The only thing to which I can attribute the difference is I installed a ridge vent along the roof line.

The good news is last year my kWh for next month dropped to 1098. Hopefully it will do the same for this year.

on the year round average

2500+ sq ft, some 20' ceilings, 2- 16 year old heat pumps and an electric hw heater. ... year round average in NC is $225 a month. From my last bill I think we are at about $.08 / kwh.

Electric bill?

I've not thought of it until now but I don't get an electric bill.

I wonder what keeps the lights on. Either my assoc. pays, or it is included with my gas bill, or I owe someone ALOT of money.

Lately, my bill has been around 100 bucks. Oddly, it has gone down from a few years ago when it was closer to 150 bucks. This summer was the hottest I can remember, I don't know why the bill got smaller, but why ask?

Latest bill 180, Average since 1988 is 125 / Mth.

2700' upstairs 1600' Basement, lots of computers and fish tanks.

Interestingly from 88 to about 97 the monthly average was slowly declining.
Since then increasing abut 30cents / month.
KWH has been climbing too throughout this.
