iPod info on charging
Is my ipod like my electric shaver in that sometimes I should let it go dead so it will fully charge afterwards? I've noticed too that the battery lasts longer (not much, but a little) if I don't use the equalizer. Any other tricks to get the battery to last longer?

NiCad batteries usually should be used up/discharged before charging again, but I dont know if the Ipod batteries are NiCad.

I noticed that when playing slower music the batteries last a littlebit longer, just a hair. Like going to eleven.

Even the 1st Gen iPods used lithium ion batteries, not NiCd or NiMh

The iPod batteries have a limited number of charges. There is nothing that can be done to prolong that limited number. There are places that sell replacment batteries and they are pretty simple to install, i've done it for many friends and on one of mine. Some places sell batteries that will hold more juice, don't know how true their claims are.
