I know what you mean. I have to keep telling myself it is NOT a Rolls-Royce. But then again it can't be, since a Rolls wouldn't have AWD.

You know this is all tongue-in-cheek. I've never driven a RR, and in this case what I don't know can't hurt me. The 300 is an average car, but pretty nice for a Chrysler product.

I don't have an issue with the brick on wheels look but the headlight/driving light design is ridiculous!

I am a big muscle car fan, of all makes, common and obscure. I was always kind of indifferent to that vintage Charger/Challenger, neither pro or con. But that thing looks downright f'n wicked!

It has that certain "Peterbilt/Volvo/Mack" truck, Semi-look to it in the front end...enticing deer to jump out into the path of it..."Hit me! Hit me! I want to die for such styling!"

Give me a pen-knife and new bar of Ivory Soap...I feel another "Royce" design within my fingertips.

I've seen "Pinewood Derby" car-kits, still in the bubble/enviro-wrap with more front-end enlightenment...geesh!

You know what the real crime here was? The guy that designed this thing and got it to Production probably makes more than any 5 of us combined do in a year...with bennies, too...

Could be. I have wondered all along why Chrysler and Dodge went to that awful body styling.Neither car interests me in the least.If I want sinful luxury, I'm going with a 1965-66 Caddy, but that's just a personal thing.

The only RR I've driven was a mid-60s model. It was about 10 years old when I drove it, with relatively low miles, and was essentially worn out. It rumbled down the road and had handling comparable to my friend's old dump truck. It probably would have been quieter if the power windows had been able to hold themselves shut. It had a ridiculous service history, going through transmissions and other major components. On the plus side, it had the nicest leather and wood work I've ever seen in a car. Otherwise, it was junk. Maybe these new RRs are great, but I don't see the point of a car like that.

I don't like the look of older muscle cars with modern wheels and low-profile tires. If I had a muscle car, I think I would sacrifice the performance advantages of low profile tires for the authenticity of traditional wheels and tires.

Do G-Wagens from AMG and Brabus count in your estimation?

That looks like a beefed up Brady Family Wagon!

I hear ya. I appreciate 'em all, from concours quality to resto-rod. Which just opens it up to more cars that I'll never be able to afford.

Although I have seen some modern wheel combos that really don't look right. My father has a '66 Corvette, far from original or numbers matching, but he does still have the knockoff hubcaps because he prefers the look even though he does drive it hard and modern wheels and tires would improve performance.
