Name the wheel.MB or aftermarket rim?Anyone?

Anyone know if these are MB rims or aftermarket ones.

I swapped my MB 8-holes for these beauties off another 190e.

I've seen 'em on the W220s.

If they are aftermarket ones, does anyone know the brand/model?

Another member of this forum suggested that they are JRD 420SE rims (???).

I've been to the JRD site but I don't see this model.

Anyone?

I had those on my W124..

I believe they were JRD rims. I can't remember the model number though. They look good, I really like 'em.

However, I remember that they fit kinda funny...

Yeah, i know what u mean.

I took off the wheels a couple of days ago and putting them back on was kinda funny, coz they didn't wanna stay on the hub...

Tks.

Is your centering ring missing?

I'm guessing, but you probably need the rings designed to make these 'hubcentric' for your benz. otherwise, it's just the wheel bolts holding them.

Usually, aftermarket manufacturers use these extra rings to allow one wheel to fit several makes such as VW, Audi, and MB, because there are differences in the hub diameters.

I checked the wheel again today and found that they do not rest on the bolts. And that they do actually fit into the hub, though not very deeply.

Coz I was in a rush the other day, it seemed otherwise, i guess...

Thanks for your thoughts.

i know that wheels that at least "look like" your pic were stock on some of the newer big "S" class MB's in 16".

i wanted to get a set for my W202, as i was going to 16", but found out that the offset was much to large, and that they use 14mm bolts instead of the more common 12mm.

i have not seen aftermarket wheels of this type. - benton

Down here, I've only seen them on the new S-Class W220s, W124s and w201s.

Never on W202s, W210s, etc.

this OE MB wheel in 16" sell ALL THE TIME on ebay for VERY reasonable prices.

mostly new car "takeoffs" for around $300 for a set of 4. ive seen sets with "new" MXV4s that were takeoffs for under $600.

i dont know about the 190, but they will NOT fit W202 without the use of a wheel spacer to correct offset.

also, they ARE designed for 14mm bolts, NOT 12mm. if 12mm bolts are used, you WILL have a loose fit with the smaller bolts. i would think this COULD pose a safety issue!

These rims were advertised for the W202. They are very popular with the W202s around here.
