Anyone get 18" AMG Wheels?
Still searching for tires and realize that this is the time to change rims - or wait another 50k miles. Thinking of 18x9's from tirerack.
Anyone got pictures of their ML with 18" wheels? Anyone find a better alternative or cheaper source? Thanks, Nimo |

Sorry, no pics...
I did pass one up on the highway with 18" rims (pricey!) Looked good, but consider that this is an all-wheel drive designed for off-road use as well. So the ride is currently smoothed out effectively by your current OEM setup. Go to 18"s (or above) and your ride will be greatly compromised...but you'll look cool while you jar your teeth loose!! ![]()

True, but no pain - no fame
![]() - It would limit the general usability for the vehicle, but I’m not too worried about my teeth – my other car runs on 275/40zr18. A 285/50 would have 1.25” more rubber outside the rim. (29.2" - 26.7")/2 Will let the current tires wear while I think about it. Thanks, /Nimo |

I have 18" AMG's on my ML320. The ride is a little "sportier" than the factory 16's but I love the look. Makes it stand out a little more in the sea of SUV's here. I've still had friends/people comment that "that was one of the smoothest rides" they have been on in an SUV. Do it if you can afford it. I got lucky and bought mine used with the wheels already on it!

I driven some ML's with bigger wheels..
I noticed better handling, and cornering with the bigger tires..
