Is this a stock 16" aluminum wheel?
I have a chance to buy these but don't recognize them as OEM.
They are stamped "Made in Italy" and 6jx16h2. I need your expertise. |

Look on the back of the wheel for the MB "star" and the part number. If that information is missing then the wheel is not a genuine MB wheel.

I don't see a Mercedes star with part number. I also read that all Mercedes OEM wheels have a steel insert in the lug hole, it doesn't have that either so they are not OEM.

MB wheels are alloy wheels. Seriously doubt that they are all aluminum. Have never heard/read/seen that MB wheels have steel inserts at the lug holes.

I think my original FUCHS bundts have a steel insert but I'm not sure if a steel insert is the final word in originality. Go for the star and part number verification...

Not all ( any? ) OE MB wheels have steel inserts.
MB does not make wheels, they are subbed out like most of the car. I have a few sets of thick 5 spoke 18" AMG wheels ( 97 to 2000 ish ) Made in Denmark, Italy and probably 2 other countries. Can you post a clear picture of the back part numbers ? |

That's a pretty narrow wheel for 16".

This is the closest I've seen thats OEM. I think what you are looking at are Mille Miglia Bellos, which is a popular wheel people used to buy like from tire rack for snow tires or the like, and they look nice, but they aren't OEM.
