Bling rims for W123?

Okay, so I am looking for ideas for 16" rims for my 300D. Not plain-jane rims, but flashy/blingy. I like big rims, but don't want 22"s on a classic.

Factory CLK wheels, diamond cut finish, I have them on my 124, very shiny, and they are 16"

Do you think it would fit on a W123?

I used to have the wheels from a C class (I think that's where they came from) on my 300TD.
Check it out here:
1984 300TD "Max" - Dee8go’s Photo Gallery - PeachParts Mercedes ShopForum

I got lots of admiring looks with those and the blue and silver paint job.

Now that is what I am looking for. I want to go with Mercedes-Benz brand rims, if possible. Did you have to mod anything to install them??

these are 15's, they from a 2002 c180k

i needed to use 9mm spacers in the front otherwise the centre badge would not clear the greasecap. this works with the 12x1.5x38mm wheel bolt.

the problem i had is that the track in the rear was slightly smaller than the front and it kept throwing the alignment out in the front. so i put 9mm spacers in the rear also. but the 38mm bolts wont work on the rear(with spacers) so you need to get bolts with a 45mm shank. do a search on ebay. i saw some w123 wheel spacers with bolts included.

This information might help - on standard W123 14 inch wheels the largest size tyre that most people say can be fitted is 205 / 75 R14. From what I can work out you should be on the edge of rubbing rubber on metal with a diameter of that size (what ever it is) with a standard suspension set up. If you lower, however, you'll have to search about to see what others have done to make things fit.

There's a tyre size calculator in the sticky at the top of this forum.

EDIT:- The standard sizes / offsets etc are listed in chapters 40-102 and 40-104 in the W123 FSM

Ask Johnhef on this forum or benzworld. He was the source for those and he has a ton of Mercedes rims, all shapes and sizes. Tires, too.

Oh, are you really in Alaska? Didn't realize you were so far away. John Heflin is a good guy, but Frederick, MD might be a little too far to do you any good. He would know what will fit your car, though and could give you good advice.

Thanks!! And yes, I really do live in Alaska, but it is truly beautiful up here. Here is a sunset picture, not at all altered.

Those CLK lightweights look great, I got a set originally to put into my 300D but the 15" Bundts came up, so they got moved to the W124.

vs

Can't go wrong with a set of AMG Pentas
