Can't be, take a close look at them. It's hard to explain, but I know they are not painted.

NOT Painted , manufactured :

Can you see the difference? those tails on the surf blau w123 Really look like thay are manufactured that way, not painted. The only way to really be sure is to get in touch with the owner. I know these tails were made for the W124 and the w201. I have them on my w126:

You're halfway there to decent car modding. Where else to go after slamming your 240d? Here's the answer; pour brake fluid into your paint gun and spray it on your car at 70psi. Then, leave it outside for a winter or two, add a roof rack and maybe a tricycle or matching rusted trailer, and you are done! Your 240d has never looked better. Add a K & N cone cold air intake system for extra performance.

... and it will still look better than the car in the original post, but it won't matter after the K&N kills it.

joe, joe, joe. OBviously the dent occured during the processes of poorly photoshopping the car. don't try to take away from a super nicely lowered car.

guys, i vote for joe to post pics of his car so we can all criticize the minor dings and dents on it

Honestly got to say I love the car the OP posted, sure the color-match wheels are a little much (originals were awesome) and the decals are (those could easily be removed). The rest of the car looks great, a tad too low for my tastes, but nice and different.

That's a member of the forum I frequent often (bimmerforums.com), SpasticDwarf. If knew the story behind the car, then it wouldn't be so bad... Basically the car got wrecked by his friend, total loss, was going to scrap it, decided to rust it, throw on some wheels he had, and whore it out.

While I think that car is definitely unique and attention getting, personally I would never do that to my car (don't have a wrecked car to play Picasso with)... but neither would he. The trailer is another thing totally, it fits the style of the car perfectly (with its ridiculous wheels on a slammed trailer). Sure it's not practical, but hey

I had a set of 19s on my 300cd ,brabus knockoffs ,the fit in the front was perfect ,the backs needed a 15mm spacer and all was well .Really no need for lowering after that point ,the rims took up most of the wheel well.Any bigger in the tire size and it would of rubbed ,235 45 19 front ,255 60 19 backs.

Got more info on the smoke tails. One company that sold them was MHW , part number 020721. this was in a catalog from 2000.

Those smoked tailights are hard to find.. I have a set myself i kept for a while already.. You can always make some painted ones.. It won't be that bad.. I'll make one out of my extra tailights when the weather gets better.. I made a some red ones for a subaru wrx. Doesn't look that bad. i think
