Brabus wheels, are they not hubcentric?

I got some 18" Brabus Monoblock V wheels a week or so back for a very good deal....

but on the freeway it vibrates a lot and on the tire balancing machine it says it's fully balanced.

so the lug bolts aren't centering the wheels I think.... but the question is are all Brabus wheels non-hubcentric? This mech at the local tire shop keep scaring me saying I bought fake crap coz benz never changed hub size and Merc special tuner Brabus should have always had hubcentric wheels for the cars....

I don't think fake crap would blatantly have Brabus moulded onto the rim...nor have a genuine brabus center cap snap on it so easily... right?

anyway so the measurement of the center bore of this wheel is 75mm and the Merc bore size is 60 something ....

I read on other posts and other Merc forums that Brabus wheels are indeed always non hubcentric and they need "ball seat" bolts to put them on.....And shamefully I've been sporting these rims with OEM tapered lugnut for a week already...... I didn't really break anything did I??

So just to confirm - are Brabus wheels non hubcentric? thanks.

Well, if the centre bore is not 66.56 mm, then the wheels are NOT hubcentric.
You can get centering rings locally in Vancouver.

funny it's the owner of this place exactly that scared me that the wheels aren't real

and they also said they can't get a hubcentric ring of 75mm bore.

but the consensus is that you just need ball-seat lugbolts for it...yet I'm not entirely sure...

Your stock M-B bolts are ball-seat.
Why not try them ?

are they?? Coz the wheels are already on the car with the stock M-B bolts.

now I'm confused. Will Brabus sell me a hubcentric ring? It's still vibration-ny.... Or have I not torqued the bolts enough to center the wheels?

but many forums have ppl with Brabus wheels, "claim to be genuine" and then also claim that they aren't hubcentric. This guy in the following said he even picked up hubcentric ring from brabus....?

no one ever had a car with brabus wheels??

http://forums.mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=101542

this guy also mentioned a plastic hubcentric ring for his brarbus:
http://forum.mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=135951

it can't be that all these ppl all bought fake ass rims right?????

R12 vs R14 ball seat radius

So there are 2 sized ball seats for Merc

What is the size for the Brabus Monoblock V?? What is the size for factory C220 W202 bolts??

I went to local tire store that deals with a lot of Mercs and he showed me that the 14mm bolt and 12mm bolt have exactly the same sized ball seat....I even broke out a trusty caliper and measured them up

it's all urban myth there....

So for my Brabus issue I took out a set of aluminum rings that have the Mercedes ID and 76mm OD and got the machine shop to shave exactly 0.50mm out of it to make 75.5mm rings

and all my vibration problems are gone. Try it with your odd hub sized rim if you have vibration problem, and your wheels have holes made for 14mm bolts and you think you are driving a blending machine on the freeway this might be for you!

As for Brabus you can also order a set of Brabus hubcentric spacer that will center the wheels while spacing the wheels out by 8 or 15mm ...... but Brabus is going to ask you for a lot of money for them.

do you remember the measurements you took and could you detail what they
were? because as far as MB bolts are concerned, they claim they have never
made a 14mm diam bolt with 12mm radius ball seat.....ever. are you sure they
were OEM bolts you had in your hand? am quite certain this is not urban myth.
