If you mean a baseball bat then yes! It worked just fine. Make sure you use a heat gun or you'll crack the paint. And go SLOW!

Well I ended up using a 2x4 and no dryer (was sunny and warm out) and the fender rolled like a champ, the one that hadnt been trashed yet did not crack at all!
I wouldnt suggest this on newer cars but worked like a champ on my w123.

Preeze Esplain
I'm intrigues by this thread. I've heard of fender rolling and thought I understood what was meant by that. I can't figure out how one would do that with either a baseball bat or a 2x4. What are you guys talking about?

Stick said wooden instrument into wheel well above tired and below fender. Roll car back and forth keeping the instrument of choice in place on tire. I suggest pushing down on instrument first to roll the fender lip against the wall and then pulling up in order to extend the fender out. Just make sure the paint and fender is plenty warm to prevent cracking.

Is this how the wheel well is shaped? As in after filling?

I just rolled the inner lips in on my 124's rear fenders, it's helped the rubbing on turns a little, but I still have a ways to go

Roll them lips
Looks like all this stuff works. There is a Mercedes TSB on this but it's main point is to heat up the fender lips. We used a plastic hammer to roll my C320's fenders for my C36 AMG wheels. Wheel off, car on lift, stand underneath facing out and bang away.
