1995/94 E320's -- Lower Profile Than Other W124s?

I am preparing to buy a set of new tires for my 95 E320. On my previous car (89 260E) I always used 205/65's because I wanted a slightly wider footprint, and I liked how the taller tire filled the wheel well.

With the E320, the front wheels/tires already seem to fill the wheel wells, whereas the rears seem quite empty. Is this an illusion, or do these W124's sit lower than their predecessors? (My 260's hood was definitely higher up than the E320's.)

Would 205/65/15's be to big for this car?
