FS: 16" Mercedes 5 Hole Wheels Tires fit 300e 400e e320
Hey All,
I got my set of e420 5 hole wheels up on eBay right now. These are great rims, they keep any 190e, 300e, C-class or w210 E Class looking stock while making a dramatic update to the style, and most importantly, they retain ride comfort versus larger diameter rims. They're up on eBay for $450 to start with a $600 buy it now. Ends Sunday.....

bad photo....but these are they...17x8 AMG replica's to go with the NOS AMG ducktail and the soon to be monotoned front grille.
I figured that if I got one AMG part I might as well start to continue the trend.

Sorry about not posting a before/after set of pics. It turns out that Scott's wheels were not OE wheels like he told me in a personal e-mail, but after market. Also, two tires were completely bald and one had a nail in it. To top it off, the refinishing that was done was nothing more than a cheap spray paint job. One wheel was still wet when packed, so it got bubble wrap imprints in the paint.
At first, Scott would not take them back, but he finally agreed. He wouldn't refund the full price, so I lost over $150 in the deal. I'll be buying brand new OE wheels from the dealer next week.

a lot of people get OE, OEM, and aftermarket confused.
I have a set of 17 inch chrome OE (meaning they came on a mercedes from the factory) if you are interested. OE- means it comes in a mercedes box and has mercedes part numbers OEM means that it comes in some other box, and may have mercedes part numbers because the tooling for making the parts is the same. Aftermarket is something that may be of inferior quality, but good enough or sometimes even better, like BBS, OZ, Ronal, etc.

Wow...I totally missed this thread. Although this was an aweful deal I didn't think it was something to flame the other party about. Rodd asked if they were Mercedes or AMG wheels, I said they were e430 wheels without knowing that he was specifically looking for only factory. When they weren't to his taste, it was he who offered to take a part of the loss in the transaction, not me who refused to refund him in full. To top it off this was over a month ago that the deal was finished, so I am suprised at the attempt to flame my reputation for no reason. Rodd - I'm sorry you're sore - we both are, but don't be so infantile.

I've got the same rims on my '80 wagon, but in 15 inch. They are not OE and I knew this when I purchased them from another group member. The key word is "aftermarket". I can see the difference from OE to aftermarket rims along way off... I got them for $450 + shipping with four 3K mile continentals. I was and am very happy with the rims and deal, as was the seller. Communication is the key to all site unseen deals.
