Hi all,
First SL 1977 350sl purchased when I was 23 years old. Still have this car, see picture. Purchased 190SL 1960 & 280sl 1970 age 33, currently in restoration. Every day car is a SL320 now that I am 40 years old. Parry |

44 years old, first MB. I went thru muscle cars, Mustangs, a Jag, and still have e34 and e30 Bimmers, but the Merc is the class ride of the bunch. I hope to be a good steward of the car, and pass it along to the next owner with good taste after i'm gone....

I was 39 when I purchase "Dieter" with funds from selling my business. It was bought at such a bargain price that I was going fix the necessary items then flip it for a profit. Now I can't imagine my life without the car. It still has a few minor problems but DOES THIS CAR TURN HEADS!!! The gleaming tourmaline paint and the chrome wheels add that little bit of WOW!!

I'm 46 years old. My wife drives ours most of the time, so I'm in the early stages of finding an SL for myself. We've had ours about a year.

40 this month...bought the SL four years ago. Got the MB virus and then bought a 1980 300SD. I'm not sure which I like better, but now I'm keeping my eyes open for the perfect 126 560SEL...:p
Still, there's nothing quite like an open top day in your SL!

i must be the youngest here then am 21 but turning 22 this
march 1. I got my 1992 all black 300 SL with blue interior yesterday, a friend gave it to my family in payment for a debt and my dad in turn gave it to me on the same day he got it since hes not into sportscars. So now i got my first sports car never did i dream of owning an SL. The car seems to be a supercar in my eyes...is it?? P.S.: How "exotic" is an SL anyhow? I am still in shock regarding my new car. Im fron the philippines btw. I have NEVER seen an SL of this type on the road. and i have only seen a couple of the newer SL55's but on extremely rare occasions (i.e. once a year). The SLK's seem to be more common though and used to be my first dream car until i got this |

Good question. Figured I'd buy a Mercedes someday. Been test driving the for the past 15 years (I'm 41 by the way) but never pulled the trigger. The cars I was driving were generally too slow. Great ride but lethargic. My mind has changed since buying a 560sl. Really enjoying having the car shift out of second at 75. (Still a kid a heart).

I'm 33.
Bought my first Benz, an E420, when I was 27. Since then, I've bought and sold an '02 C230 Sport Coupe. What's left in the garage today is an '89 560SEC, an '00 E320 Wagon kid-hauler, and a sunny-day '69 280SL. dorian | sl-129.com | pagoda113.com | sl107.com |
