Need more information. What happens when you try to open the windows? If it used to work OK, then you probably have a ground problem. The console switches share a common ground stud under the console in front of the shifter. I'd check that first. Tod

The windows go down before the top starts to move !
Operate the switch, let the windows go down - then see if the top moves HTH Mark |

Hi,
Seems with all the replies you have there's ----the same--- problem. This is meant in the nicest, bestest way... Go to MB.com and get the 800 number for the MB store in NJ. They will sell you an ORIGINAL owners manual for ten bucks... The best money you'll spend on this car!! The first thing that happens when you push that button is the roll bar goes down (if it's up) the next thing that happens is the windows go down, the next thing is the soft top REAR flips up. then the HIDDING PLACE flips. Then the top TRIES to disengage and per the manual it may need a push with your hand to assist it to disengage. Then the top starts down. YOU MUST HOLD THAT BUTTON IN THE REAR MOTION AT ALL TIMES UNTIL THE WHOLE THING IS DONE..... When it is done the widows will start to go back up..... It's all in the book ![]() |
