Hello good people. I have a 1979 USA 450SL for 15 years and usually can find answers through Google searches, but I have not been able to find help on this matter.
I was testing my auxiliary fan by grounding the 212 lead and initially the fan worked, then it didn't. Once it stopped working I could hear a clicking each time I grounded it - sounded like a relay but from what I have gleaned in my research, the aux fan relay is in the kick panel above the Fuse panel. This clicking relay(?) under the coolant overflow tank and appears to have a couple vacuum lines going to it as well as an electric connection. See photo in link
I too have not been able to find the relay to purchase it .. major suppliers do not have it listed.
SO any help would be appreciated.
