Rust around the lights on a 68 SL-how bad?

Looking at a 68 280SL, euro model, interior is excellent, motor runs well (couldn't drive yet-rain), but there is rust around the lights on both fenders-not too bad but rust nonetheless. Floors and rails are solid. New top, decent paint. Got the guy down to 12,500-think he'll go lower.

How big of a bother is the front end rust? Is $12k in the ballpark?

oh, and it has an A/c compressor but I see nothing under the dash-is it possible this is some sort of re-engineerd deal with the a/c coming out of the vents?

Run, don't walk away from this car. Sounds like a typical, rusty 113 that somebody has made worse by starting and not completing and A/C project on. Translation - money pit. There are too many better 113s out there to bother with this one. I know of a nice, rust free Euro 280SL in Annapolis, MD. if you are really interested. $16K.
