SL Seat Replacement
I have a 380 SL and the seats just wear me out during a regular 2 hour drive. It is surprising that Mercedes put such an unsupportive seat in any of its cars.
Has anyone replaced these seats with another set of more supportive seats? Possibly some later SL seats from 1990 on up? Or aftermarket? Thanks, Rob |

Rob,
If you replace the bottom seat-springs it will increase the support, there will be a noticeable change. The only problem is the seat-springs are not cheap... I think around $200 a seat. Or you could go with the 560SL seats, I've been told that they were designed by Recaro. RECARO

does anyone know if the 560 seats are plug compatible with the 450 and 380?
