2005 SL500
Howdy folks! I've been a member of the diesel forum for several years now and am looking at buying my first SL! It is a 2005 SL500 with 88,000 miles on it, listed for $21,900.
I am just curious if there are any specific items to watch out for, areas of concern, and when the next major service will be required. Any assistance is appreciated! Thanks in advance, Fritz

I bought an 04 SL 55 amg last year. I can tell you watch out for the ABC, the SBC, and the front end lower control arm bushings and ball joints. All these items are weak. If you can get a warranty, I could not find anyone to offer a warranty on the AMG, but I think for a 500 you could. Good luck!
