560sl wood dash trim pieces

Any idea where I can find replacement pieces for the wood dash trim on an 89 560sl for not an astronomical amount of money? I only need the pieces that go under the dash vents on either side next to the doors.
Thanks!

You can get these from a lot of places, but I don't know of anyone who sells them individually. One of the reasons for this is that there is considerable variation on the veneer, and a "set" is usually made from the same cut of veneer.

BTW, I grew up around there - I'll bet the MB's special parking mode (with one side of the parking lights on) comes in handy parking in that town - as I recall, you had to leave your parking lights on at night if you parked on the street. Do you still have to do this?

You can checkout http://bodydash.com.
They have inexpensive kits that match origional wood at a fraction of the cost. They also sell on ebay under bdtrims. The material is not the same as origional but looks great....
Good luck..

Thanks!

Thanks for all the info so far. I checked out the website (bodydash) but can't find any products for an 89 560sl. They seem to have the newer body style kits only. I will contact them. The prices are definitely good!

But there are really a lot of places that do, Performance Products, for example. But they don't sell pieces individually. One possibility would be buying a set and selling what you don't need. Or, hanging on to them until you do.
