Climate control buttons
I need to replace two of the fan/air control button faces on my 1989 560SL. The push buttons work fine, but the plastic "decal" needs replacing. I have bought two new buttons and am trying to figure out whether I have to remove the wood panel around the buttons to get the buttons out. Is there an easy way to remove the control buttons?

First, hire 100 aerospace engineers in varying technical regimes, set up a proposal bay, obtain original design documents from the OEM, set up three levels of technical analysis, then go to Home Depot and buy a set of 12" water pump pliers and pull the living bejeezus out of the little plastic buttons.
