Looking to defeat ASR In W208 03 CLK 430
I'm looking for the wiring diagram for the ASR Module. where can I find this? I need to identify wires for the pins. This should be the same as E430. S430, possibly ML430. Any help greatly appreciated.

What did I do to deactivate the system? I just found the pump's relay wire and installed a push button switch on it but that deactivates the ABS as well. The only real advantage to deactivating the ETC is that the car doesn't shake around if your hard cornering at the track and you find out how annoying the one wheel peel starts are. The ETC greatly aids in the launching of the car.

Thanks for the reply, I want this to work with ABS intact. I bought a wiring diagram and am looking for the permanent action of snow chains.

guys don't know if this has been posted before, it one long thread
![]() u can have wires tap into those to the inside of the car. But u need to switch off and back on the ignition for it to take an effect. and if u disconnect it and reconnect it several times while the ignition is on the ABS will also go offline, but no worries cause once u disconnect the wires and start the car again all goes operational again. Shorting pins 1 and 6 sets the ASR module into diagnostics mode, this retains the full functionality of the accelerator pedal. This works on my 1996 C36 but i dont know if it works on all cars. As for the w124 400/500E u can just unplug one of the 2 plugs that are connected to the brake fluid reservoir, I really don’t remember which one but I remember doing something like that on an E500 I used to drive back in 1998. any of you try it plz and confirm. This will disable the ASR but keep the accelerator functionality again. Once it reconnected the system runs fine with no errors.

Is it possible to disconnect the ASR on MB 600?
Hi. I have 92 MB 600 V12. I have the same ASR problems described above here. I did lots of work -- changed engine wiring harness, checked the actuators, adjusted the idling RPMs. Still sometimes the ASR light comes on and engine goes into "limp" mode -- no power, hard to accelerate. Does anybody knows how to disconnect this damn ASR system, so car will not go to "limp" mode? Thank you.

Note that you have to check codes on each system separately (particularly the ASR and E-GAS), you cannot use the built-in LED, this only shows emissions-related codes from the DM. You'll need a hand-held LED blink code reader. Click here for a DTC list on the W140/M119, this will be almost identical for your M120 setup except it doesn't specify the second EZL and LH modules used on your V-12 setup. The ASR and E-GAS codes should be the same though, as there is only one each of those. Please do not permanently disable the ASR... something is wrong with your car, and killing ASR is not fixing the problem, it's just hiding it. ASR is an excellent safety item, particularly on wet or slippery roads, and is extremely useful for normal street driving. The "ASR Off" defeat switch being discussed here is primarily intended for race track use. ![]()

I have a 1995 SL 600. The ASR light is on and it runs poorly. Any one know where the ASR is located and how I disable this thing. Thank you!

#25 = ASR controle module 12VDC signal to the ASR controle module "Engine running signal" (This is the pin that tells the ASR controle module that the engine is not turned on) #35 = ABS instrument cluster MIL lamp e17 (The yellow ABS Square lamp) #37 = ASR instrument cluster warning lamp e21 (The triangle in the speedo) So the Renntech simply does just remove the "engine running" signal to the ASR controle module and makes it "think" that the engine is turned off And because of that the ASR MIL and ABS MIL lamps will come on, because the module is in a kind of "ignition and test bulb state" even though the ABS is still in funktion, becuase the ASR module also can activate this lamp and does as the module is "ignition state testing its bulbs" therefore they had to remove the pin 35 to avoid the ABS lamp litting up. This also give sense as putting the ASR module into an ignition state testing is not seen as an error and will therefore not activate anny error codes. They also remove the warning triangle lamp wire because you dont want that lamp to come on as this is also tested in the ignition test state. But instead of turning the ASR MIL lamp off they led the ASR MIL lamp indicator lit up, so this is an indicator for you that ASR is shut off. This is also likely why this system was only developed for the ASR in cars with the stand alone ASR module box N30/1 Because the ASR was also implemented in the 6 cyl. cars such as the E320 and the earlier 300E 12 and 24 Valves from 89-92 These cars have an older ASR system called ASR II and the newer ASR III in the 500E/E500 is just not the same system. The ASR II system was an futher develping of the ABS controle unit. So therefore you cant just remove ASR as this signal to the ASR controle module is not pressent or used on these ealier ASR II systems. So to do it on the 6 cyl. models, you would have to take apart the controle unit and fix it on the main boards elektronics some how Last edited by Brabus 3.6-24; 07-18-2013 at 07:11 PM. to disable ASR on ur 140, just short pin 1 to pin 6 on the diagnostic port in the engine bay. simple. puts asr sys in dyno mode.
