Mine redlines at around 6400RPM(92 500E with aftermarket chip.
My buddie's 94E500 rev at 6900-7000 with the same chip.
I've driven both and mine still feels faster, though we never raced.

Many of us have discussed this topic at length; perhaps the dearth of responses is a quiet suggestion that you do a search?

I, like most 500E guys here, redline our cars on almost every shift. Mine shifts at 6,400RPM 1-2 and 2-3; 3-4 happens at 6,000 RPM. Technically, redline is 6,000 RPM for all versons of the M119
