W123 280e tachometer wiring...
Hi all,
I've finally managed to get hold of a tacho for my '82 280e. I just wanted to check with you all that I've got the wiring correct. From what I can see, the 2 round pins on the back are for the tacho, 1 is marked with a + stamped in the steel next to it, this has a red wire off the back, and the othe has a green wire off the back. So, it seems logical that the +, red wire is a switched positive, and the green wire is the signal, with the negative being picked up through the frame. Is this correct? Cheers Frank.
