W123 280e tachometer wiring...

Hi all,

I've finally managed to get hold of a tacho for my '82 280e.

I just wanted to check with you all that I've got the wiring correct.

From what I can see, the 2 round pins on the back are for the tacho, 1 is marked with a + stamped in the steel next to it, this has a red wire off the back, and the othe has a green wire off the back.

So, it seems logical that the +, red wire is a switched positive, and the green wire is the signal, with the negative being picked up through the frame.

Is this correct?

Cheers Frank.

Ps, I've added some pictures below...
