New Here ! 2005 Cl65 AMG engine & trans

Hello,
I'm a car guy, worked in the business for years. I was a tune-up and driveability specialist, mostly General Motors cars etc. I'm retired due to a back problem but that's not going to stop me.
I came in possession of a engine,transmission, engine computer & engine wiring harness to a 2005 CL65.
This engine is so so so amazing I have to build a car around it !!! I understand this isn't a plug and play SBC or LS2 however can it be done ? The engine wiring harness is complete, the wiring harness has all the connections to the AMG engine computer and I have a pig-tail to the transmission. I'm sure there's allot more going on in the car, must have other computers networked together and I understand its vin coded. I am tring to get a manual for the car but has it ever been done ? I suspect I will be spending a lot of time on this forum in the future.
Any guidance would be so so so helpful !!

You would be better off dumping the factory computers. The level of integration is a lot. Cost would exceed going standalone by a multiple of a lot. A complete donor car and it would be feasible like Roncollo. You need drive authorization and engine and transmission and traction etc. Then you need all the sensors and correct data for all the sensors to get it to work as though it was in a factory car. Doable but a huge undertaking.

to expand on what whipplem104 said ~~~ do a search on user name roncollo or roncallo and follow his exploits as he installs one of these into a 107/560sl chassis

Here's a picture of the engine package. I did some reading and using a stand-alone would be much easier. I could sell the parts I remove and pay for the system. My 914 has a Edelbrock efi (its a V8 SBC) which isn't sequential. The system is based on early 90s Corvette. Looks like there are a few stand-alone system that support a V12, what do you guys think the best system is ? I did check out the other V12 and saw one via youtube using megasquirt. I'll have to contact Megasquirt maybe they will want to get involved being its likely the first and an AMG engine.
