hello all...
I have an 87 16 valve with 54,000 miles that recently received some exhaust work. The new system includes all free flow components with Lorinser muffler and no pre-cats. My questions: 1) What tuning changes or adjustments need to be made to best suit the characteristics of the new exhaust system? 2) The car is now having trouble maintaining a smooth idle...is this normal or do i need to change O2 sensor? Also, I know this is getting long, how often do the following services need to be performed: -Fuel Injectors Cleaned -Valve Adjustment Thanks in Advance [This message has been edited by BocaBenzs (edited 09-25-2000).] |

I'm sure that the engine would like a bit more fuel & even timing. Fuel pressure change at the EHA (governor) on the fuel distributor would really help. The system works on a 2-tier fuel pressure system. By lowering the lower chamber pressure the engine will run richer. The computer is constantly changing this pressure.
