$750 OBO!!! - My 1982 300SD running driving parts car - free spare wheels!

In case no one is clicking on my other ad because of the price in the title:

-Now includes spare set of Bundt 14" rims with good condition yokohama IceGuard snow tires (less than 20k on them!, they are about 4 years old)

Engine has 322k on it and still started fine this past winter even at -11F with 1 glow cycle. New timing chain at 213k and has about .75 degree stretch at this point, the engine runs great. Usual minor oil leaks and seeps but it is a strong runner, very smooth. Has Bosio injector nozzles too, great torque and silky idle. Straight pipe exhaust front to back 2.5" in great shape.

I replaced the transmission with a 1985 300D unit about 5 years ago, it has approx. 195k miles on it by now. Has the high stall 2600rpm torque converter + the 3.07 diff makes it a very quick diesel off the line, it can just about break the tires loose in full take off. Trans leaks a little from the rear tail housing gasket, I think I pinched the paper seal when I swapped tail pieces. Loss is maybe 6-8oz of fluid per 1200-1500 miles of driving...so not super major.

Rear axles were rebooted prior to original boot failure and are still smooth and quiet. Diff bushing was replaced also. Car's alignment is perfect, shocks are all strong/good. Steering has some play but drives smooth and straight.

Brakes are ok, has corrosion on the rear rotors from sitting but it still stops fine (some vibration from rear rotors) The rear calipers are rebuilds...about 5-6 years old. Has super blue racing fluid in it, flushed about 2 years ago.

Climate system works on defrost for full heat....that's about it....no A/C and removed the compressor long ago. Blower motor was replaced around 2005ish with a new one.

Has newer oil cooler lines (original MB) and oil cooler is new all are about 7ish years old and in good shape.

All power windows work, sunroof works....door lock pump has a problem with its shutoff switch internally and will cycle open and shut constantly so I unplugged it. No radio.....has a boost and volt gauge in the dash. Interior lights and exterior all work fine. Rear window defrost sorta works...interior is mostly from a 1991 350SDL so its nicer than an original 82. Wipers work fine, I repaired them last year with a new bolt in the ball joint.

Car has a lot of rust but is still solid....has a receiver curt trailer hitch and wiring installed and included. Has water leaks bigtime in the trunk, some gets into the interior on the floor under the mats.....

Honestly its a running parts car but in good enough mechanical shape where it could be driven daily for a long while yet. Lots of good parts on the car. I've probably put about 10-12k of parts into it in the past 11 years of having it. I have driven it 120k+ with no breakdowns.

Has upgraded 80A alternator off a saab and wiring also. Alternator has less than 75k on it. Belts are new....radiator is newer (6 years old) original behr. Plastic high volume fan installed. Runs 82-85C any time, any place, any temp.

Glow plugs all work and are about 3 years old, relay is an afterglow bosch.

Non working cruise. Has the Audiovox unit on it but I am keeping that to put on my W201.

The wood on the switch panel and shifter is "decent".

Door panels are all decent, newer door handles. Has rear headrests....

Door checks all good....

Upper Dash is perfect, no cracks anywhere on top, not even by the speakers....very rare!

Mushroom interior...light blue exterior.

I will be sad to see it go, but really have no use for it anymore.

This car is destined to be parted and scrapped it seems. I'll keep the engine to build a generator with it I guess.
