FS: 1999 E320 Wagon, Smoke Silver, 134k, 3rd Row $2995.00

1999 E320 wagon for sale, rear wheel drive (NON 4-matic) VIN: WDBJH65F1XA775617

134,000 miles.

Purchased this car from auction down in Houston. Seller was Texas Direct, the equivalent of CarMax down there. 3 owners and no accidents on the history report. Clean title Life long Texas car sold new at Park Place Motors.

Shipped back to Wichita and sent it through my back shop. Inspected well. Tires all matching Michelins with 7/32nds tread remaining on the front and 10/32nds rear. Brake pad wear at 5mm ront and 6mm rear. No leaks outside of typical vapor seepage which an engine bay steam clean took care of. The AC performance was lackluster which prompted a service. It was not empty, but low on charge. Full service brought it back to ice cold at the vents. Had a check engine code for secondary air injection. Diagnostic showed the pump was seized. Smacking the pump brought it back to life and the code has not returned, but most likely this is a temporary fix. The pump is for emissions, does not effect the way the car performs. I can install a new Bosch unit for $450, or you can take your chances with a used one, which run about $100 on eBay.

The car runs and drives out great. No issues with drivability or performance. All electrics work with the exception of the cruise control. All windows, radio, AC, lights, all working.

Cosmetics are presentable, but nowhere near showroom. Scrapes and scratches on 3 out of 4 corners. Normal scratches, dings, road rash. Some etching in the paint from the harsh Texas sun. No rust. Driver's seat has a torn bolster, one small crack in the dash. 2 out of 3 headrests missing in the second row.

Photos below. Certainly no excuses for the cosmetics at this price. Giving a 1 week first dibs before I go on craigslist. Located in Wichita, KS.

Love your cars; love your posts. One of these days I'm going to tell my sister in KC that I'm coming to visit... just as soon as I swing by Wichita.

I certainly don't post every benz that goes through the lot... just the ones I know people on the forum would like... Maybe I post 1 out of 10?

This one is SOLD, going to forum member Tim Freeh.

This is about the most car for the money I've ever seen. The Freeh brothers know a good value when they see it.

It did look good at that number. I hope the buyer has good luck with the car. Don't see many of those W210 wagons, ever.

Glad someone bought it. My wife wouldn't have been happy with me for bringing home another car

At the price it was listed at, you might want to stock up on all you can find at that price.

Yeah I'm kicking myself for not jumping on it sooner.

The car is going to my daughter in law to replace her daily driver 91 300D 2.5 turbo with 300K on the clock that was my daily driver for many years.

3k for a south Texas car with 134K on the clock and a clean title seemed like a no-brainer. It's certainly not cosmetically perfect but a couple of new seats and some paint work on the bumpers and it should be as good as new.

This will be the 3rd car our family has purchased through Tyler, we've been very happy with everything he's delivered to us - its worth the hassle of a long distance delivery.

I would agree all the way. Keep 'em (MBs) in the family. The 'pop' factor of the MB wagon, the utility factor of a wagon, the possible better winter driver because of wagon weight distribution over an MB sedan, the list is long. At the end of the day it's probably rust free, AND the price was smokin' hot too.

What I really wonder is this - how do you lose two out of three headrests? Do kids entertain themselves by throwing them out the window while you drive down the highway?

Edit: BTW, there have recently been a couple w210 wagons on DFW craigslist with ~275K miles. For durability, I like the M112 better than most anything else MB has built.

Anything not bolted down gets stolen at auction. Spare tires, gear shift knobs, head-rests, floor mats, buttons, hub caps.... you name it.

Just passed Wichita on my way to Dallas the other day, should have bought it and pulled it behind my truck back to LA. You're the only dealer I would buy a car from.

Ditto.

Out of the many, many cars I've bought (well over 100) only three were from a dealer. One was new Mustang 5.0 in 82, another was the 87 300TD in 93, and the CDI I bought from Tyler last year.

I was comfortable buying sight unseen, based upon Tim's experience with Tyler, and his reputation on this board. I must say I was not disappointed with the transaction, and would certainly do business with Tyler again.

BTW, once Tim puts the wagon in service, I'll be picking up the 2.5 turbo it's replacing. Might drive it as a commuter and let the CDI serve as a trip car, or might pass it along to one of my friends. Even got two thumbs up from Linda for picking up a "Tim" car.

Jim
