I'm selling my 1985 190D 2.2. It has been an excellent car to me, but I have recently bought a bigger car. I'm sorry to see it go since it seems that the diesel 190's are getting harder and harder to come by in good condition.

So, about the car. The paint still shines, but has a couple of dings and chips from age. The interior is in great condition and the car drives great. It currently has about 203,000 miles on the odometer and about 3,000 miles ago had a new transmission installed. The tires have a decent amount of tread left on them and the wheels are Mercedes alloys from the 1980's, but were upgraded from the standard 14 inch to 15 inch. I have consistently attained 35 MPG from this car in normal city and hwy driving and about 40 MPG on long hwy trips.

Some of the features this car has are: power sunroof, power windows, power central locking system, power steering, automatic 4 speed transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes, Zebrano wood trim, and palomino MB Tex upholstery. It will never have to be smogged because it's a diesel powered car and registration and insurance are inexpensive. It also has a clean title. This a list of some of the work that was recently done:

New front suspension bushings & ball joints
Front & rear suspension inspection and alignment
New transmission
New glow plugs
Rebuilt vacuum system for engine, transmission, and door locks
Rebuilt brake calipers
New brake hoses
Brake fluid flush
New window switches for front & rear
Replaced all exterior lamps
New battery
Upgraded to copper/ceramic fuses
New motor mounts
New muffler hangers
Rebuilt power steering fluid pump
Fresh motor oil & transmission fluid
New engine RPM sensor

Some of the things that need attention are:

Air conditioner
Radio
Front driver's side window regulator

The car currently doesn't have a radio installed. One or two of the teeth on the front driver's side window regulator have worn or broken off so the window nearly goes up all the way, but not quite. I currently have the car listed at $3999, but I am open to price negotiation. I frequently travel to the Sacramento area and I can show the car in Sacramento, CA or Manteca, CA. The transmission is a professionally rebuilt unit and was installed by a transmission shop. It is the same model of transmission that the car originally came with, which is a 722.4 four speed automatic. If anyone needs more information about anything on the car, just let me know.
