1990 Mercedes 300te wagon-white-$2000
This is a white 1990 Mercedes Benz 300te station wagon with 217,000 mi and roof rack. It is an automatic powered by a 3.0L inline six cylinder rear drive car. The interior is blue and in good shape. Cluster needles still orange. Comes with some maintenance records. Basically I would summarize this as a solid car in decent shape (mechanically and cosmetically) with some issues that need to be addressed.
THE GOOD: Stuff done in the last 500 miles: Full wheel balance, car is smooth at freeway speeds. Suspension is in good order. Flex discs (front and rear) were replaced. Engine oil changed. "Tune up" consisting of replacement of distributor cap, rotor, wires and spark plugs done. Other maintenance done by previous owner: Transmission fluid changed. Top end of the engine rebuilt, head gasket replaced~35,000 mi ago. The interior is in cosmetically good shape. There are no dash cracks or leather rips except for one 2"x 2" patch on the side of the driver's seat which was patched at some point. The leather is also supple. The wood trim is in good shape. Sunroof works! Exterior is in decent condition. THE BAD: The cruise control stopped working. The climate control was working well before winter, blew cold AC and everything. It didn't kick on after winter, however it still emanates heat to keep that front window nice and clear. There is very minor of surface rust coming through the paint under the rear window. It is discoloration on the paint with paint cracks, not bubbling. Other than that, car is rust free, esp underneath. Engine leaks oil from front right side, not gushing but have to add a bit every couple fill ups. Transmission pan gasket leaks. |
