For those who are in Vancouver and/or interested, yesterday afternoon, on the road to Waterfront Skytrain Station with my GF, there it is!!! A Red/Black Smart!!! With European license plate(they look WAY better then the plate we have now.. :p). Wonder why it was there?? Testing?? Ad shooting?? Does that mean we will have Smart in the next 2-3 years??

Mercedes is thinking of bringing the A-class to the US (and Canada I guess) to have a zero emissions vehicle. In Europe the A-class has 2 gas, and 2 diesel engines. Mercedes has been working with Ballard Power Systems, which is based in BC to have a hydrogen-powered car. But hydrogen power is still far away so it's more likely that the A-class will come over as either an electric or a gas/electric like the Toyota Prius.Or it could be someone visiting from Europe that had their car shipped to use here.

I saw a smart cruising in los angeles on the freeway in the fast lane at 65 mph. The thing was tiny, but way cool

It was black on black, and had California License Plates and all.
