OM603.971 Intercooler + Superpump?

Hey guys, I have a 95 W140 with the .971 engine. PO had engine rebuilt by Metric Motors with stronger rods and currently no problems after 100k miles. Car is sluggish though and under sustained throttle up hills down here in hot south, coolant temp climbs a bit. Wastegate set to 13psi.

I feel this engine gets heat soaked down here in south pulling all this weight. So, I’d really like to first intercool the engine to reduce the heat load and make power upgrades possible.

I’ve thought of either 6mm or 7.5mm (turned down a little) pumps for future upgrades. I feel 200-230hp would be sufficient to give the car a better HP to weight ratio.

Anyways, how crazy am I for wanting to do this on the 3.5? If it’s not so far fetched, who should I be looking at for intake manifold modification? Also, who should do pump? I would need to retain the 3.5 redline. What turbo and boost pressure should I be looking at?
