Tune E320 CDI for higher Mpg?
I pretty much get the sticker mpg in my 2006 E320 cdi -- 37 higway and 29 city. I could push 40 mpg on highway if i set the cruise at 65 i bet. Anyway, i'd like to tune it for higher mpg and egr limitation.
Anyone have any recommendations or experience with this? I didn't see any in the search. It would be nice to be able to switch maps and experiment with various tunes. Thanks

The Green diesel automatically closes the EGR. They claim 3-5% better fuel economy and 30 more HP. The tune can be done at home if you have a computer. I've been in contact with them extensively about this. The om648 tune is $700. Not sure about other engine models. Other tuners have a variety of tunes- higher MPG, higher power or a mix.
