First season of Dexter, a kid hides in the truck of a W123 Turbo Diesel and watches a murder through the keyhole. It's featured a lot, with people checking it out and searching the trunk.

There's also an episode of Six Feet Under in season 3 where someone kills themselves in a closed garage by starting and running a MB. I think it's an SEL.

Big Daddy Herman was no fool when it came down to the "Family Koach"!!
The Munsters aired for 2 seasons from 1964 to 1966. I don't think Jack built the munster car.

EDIT - the Munstermoile was a 1923 Model T with a custom hearse body built by George Barris. It was 18 feet long and cost $20k to build.

a new travel agency commercial i saw aired on the history channel last night had the rear bumper of a w123 backing into an old plastic suitcase and crushing it in somebody's garage. I think the diesel sound was on there too.

I think that's either a W116 or a R107, the bumper looks diffrent than the W123

I was watching the Retro Television Network this weekend and fell asleep watching the A-Team (I know, sacriledge) and when I woke up there was this REALLY awful movie from the 70's (??) on, and in it the art thief was driving a mercedes fintail in the same pale blue as my own car. Don't know if it was diesel or not, it was the only good thing about the movie. Alex

Winter Passing

Kind of an odd little movie from 2005 with Ed Harris, Zooey Deschanel and Will Farrell that features a 300D in several scenes.

A new show thats been running here in the UK for a few weeks,- 'Demons' has a couple of nice M.B.s...

What looks like a pre-face-lift W114, cant tell the exact model, but suspect its the 280c finished in that very pale-blue/silver that looks good on the W123's..

And what looks to be a W126 limosine, --black obviously!

Both cars feature in most episodes.....

(This U.K. show, bit like 'Buffy' --Philip Glenister--Gene Hunt from Ashes to Ashes/Life on Mars, with outlandishly bad American accent trains a teenage guy to kill vampires etc--crap show --Except for the cars......)

W123, 1985 300TD Wagon, 256K,
-Most recent M.B. purchase, Cost-a-plenty, Gulps BioDiesel extravagantly, and I love it like an old dog.

W114, 1975 280E Custard Yellow,
-Great above decks needs chassis welding--Really will do it this year....

w123

Dan in Real Life, he drives this 83-85 300td with bunny ear head rests up front and regs in the back. Bundts rims.

You see it alot, the struts on the wagon door are in great shape.

Its not a w116. It looks a lot like my w115, but it has vertically oriented headlights. So, the bright light is above or below the regular light. The w116 has the bright next to the regular light.

I think its a w112. But they either took off the badges, or they shoot so you never see them. And I think the hood star isn't there So all you can really see is the mercedes emblem on the hubcaps.
