What the hell do I do ? Window related
It was a beautiful day today. As I am driving to work I decided to open all the windows. So I am finally at work and it is time to close all of them and the passanger rear does not want to go up. I tried to close it with the switch in the center console and the switch on the door; i even checked the fuses.
The damn thing is still stuck on the bottom. So I get home and open door panel up and I manage to get the window up but everything seems to be stuck in there (regulator and motor) I cannot align the motor to screw back into the door if I have the window all the way up. I don't care if the window never works again, I just want it to stay up. Any suggestions as to what I should do ? Should I try to spin the motor somehow ? Any type of advice is greately appreciated..... Thanks

There are two wires going to the regulator motor (green and black), you can remove them from the back of the switch connector. 12v to one and ground to the other...reverse for the opposite direction.
You may have a bad switch or two.. |

Went through that with my SD, and it definetly took some fiddling the get the pinon gear engaged in the right spot. Had to have the motor not mounted, the window down an inch or two, and then rotate it into place at the same time as pushing the window up to full up, then hold it all in place while bolting up the motor. I've got a post buried somewhere if you do a search, SD window motor was the title, I think.
O.K. went and found it. SD door panel , and bumped it to the top

Makes me glad my car seems to fix itself! I try to run all my windows up and down once a week if I can remember to so nothing gets stuck. If I forget to do it for a while the rear windows are really slow sometimes.

If you can't get anything to work, you can remove the door panel and then pry off the black plastic top to the electric motor. Then loosen the electic motor and you should be able to get to the top of the stator.
Use your screwdriver to turn the motor and in about an hour you can have the window rolled back up. Don't ask me how I know this. |

check and clean your switch. there is a child safety switch between the drivers side switches. mine has shorted out because a bb bearing in the switch dislodged.
they are easy to take apart and reassemble. to test your switch/wireing/motor- switch switches left and right. don |

Im not sure if you know about this trick, but depending on what is preventing your window from rolling up, it might work.
Hold the button on the console or door for the downed window in the up position, as though you want to roll it up even though it wont. At the same time, have someone slam the door shut. The window should roll right up.
