Hi...
I believe my mechanic said I had sludge in my fuel tank....and then he mentioned algae..and I'm supposed to get an additive to add to help keep this in check...Is there a distinct difference between sludge and algae?...and what you use to treat it?

Sludge = thick difficult or impossible to dissolve petrochemical slime; often requires removal and cleaning.

Algae = a growth that occurs in diesel fuel and can be treated with chemicals and multiple fuel filter replacement.
