Opinion and help 190D

Hello

I'm looking to buy a nice 1987 190D 330k (i can deal it around 3000 canadian peanuts)
i finaly found one, body is in excelent condition a smal rust spots but nothing to be worried, it was repainted 2 years ago.

It was timely serviced ( timing belt was always done in time) and oil changes also.
No signs of oil leaks the guy told me that it doesn't eat any oil
I drove it the engine was feeling very good i will take for a compression test this week (just to be safe), but to be honest i think the test will be good. I have a Jetta TDI and the accelaration are pretty much the same.

Now to need to be done things:

The dash board is cracked ( 2 big and ugly cracks) found a cheap solution ( a dashmat don't know if it will look good or not) and a new dash (100$ us).

The front suspension was gone the car was like a boat floating on water, for this i don't know where to look for parts any help will be wellcomed.
How much the suspension will cost ?
The back suspension was done last year according to his papers and it doesn't need to be changed. When u pressed it felt okay

The ac wasn't working, freon and a the pump ( the guy told me around 180$)

This will be my second car/the wife car.

I need an aproximate price for the front suspension and for the ac so i can make my mind if the car is worth it or not.
And if you guys knows a solution for the dash since the cracks will be there in my face all the time

Merci
Sorin

Front suspension can be struts & possibly control arm bushings or ball joints. May need steering linkage, idler arm bushings, steering damper. Could be more than $1,000 USD. I recently bought a '87 190DT and the front end was completely shot. Bolts were breaking rather than coming out & a few non wearable parts needed replacing. I had a parts car I tore the entire front end off & put it on to fix it.

A/C can be expensive. Compressor is $350+ for a MB rebuilt in the U.S. But what's wrong? Manifold hose if leaking is $$.

Could cost the amount of the car to fix these things!!

Hey thanks for the reply
I was fearing that it will cost me 2 much to fix
too bad it was a nice car.
I'll go see a 2.6 this afternoon. 1991 93k miles around around 3.5 k canadian peanuts
If is it in nice shape my wife will have a faster car
The idea of having 2 diesel cars was nice, but with the 2.6 at least i can have a fast car
life is not fair
