simple question!! fuel line size?
hi,
i have an 83 300d and i'm trying to figure out what size fuel line it uses. i'm doing a diy project so i can't use the factory replacement. thanks. |

no not viton, just regular hose.
i'm converting it to run on straight vegetable oil. but i can't figure out if it's 1/4" ID or 5/16" Anybody know? |

metric...
no wonder i'm having problems. for some reason i assumed that it was 1/4" because the hoses fit well over a barb, but now i'm thinking it's bigger since it's a 3 Liter engine. |

I think it's 8mm i some places..

It's 8mm, but 5/16" works fine. If you are running VO, I'd go larger. For my conversion I used 3/8", and 1/2" inside my heat exchanger.
