quick heater hose question
Yes, tried to search...
The hose that goes from the head, next to the oil filter, and to the firewall. Mine has a galvanized elbow just about 3 inches from the head fitting, with a close nipple on each end. My guess is that it was a quick [sloppy] fix, that the stock one has no such fitting. Correct? Could this be one of the factors why it tends to run a bit hot? thanks...

Rhino,
Yes, sounds like a quick fix but it is unlikely it will affect the engine temperature. All this hose does is connect the heater core to the engine. My heater control servo is broken so I have a valve in this line to regulate the heat. If it doesn't leak it ain't broken so don't fix it. P E H |
