"The Harder They Come"

An old film from the mid 1960's.....
"The Harder They Come" with Jimmy Cliff, the rasta singer.......white MB 220 or 250Se convertible with black leather driven by the owner of the Jamaican record company......the auto is featured in many scenes.
2 points for the first member to list the quote by Jimmy Cliff when he confronted his former coworker who stole his bicycle.
Next, if I recall correctly, there were a number of Black Pontons used by the bad guys in a bunch of chase scenes on the James Bond film "Goldfinger".
spo out

Darn, I could have swore it was a diesel. Then again, maybe I was smoking something...

Very funny... I too thought it a diesel coupe, but to my memory it was the 280CE, complete with hubcaps, not bunt cake alloys.

Except he drove a '55 T-Bird in "Breathless," some other Detroit iron in "No Mercy," and rode a horse in "Sommersby." I don't think he "always" drives a German car in his movies (I don't remember what he drove in "Looking for Mr. Goodbar").

Why didn't you mention in First Knight he rode a horse while you were at it?

Was it a Lipizzaner Stallion? They're sort of German.

But if you had to bet on it, chances are he's cast in a German ride. They tend to go well with his grey hairs.

I doubt it. He's had a few German rides in some of the movies you can remember, but that's about it.

If anyone's got the new Led Zeppelin DVD set, Disc 1 opens up with them rolling into the stadium in a Benzito. You only get a glimpse of the hood star and of course the hood. Definately a 60s era car.

Boy Jim Dandy, you know a lot about movies... Just what is it that you do? Your knowledge about movies, their stars and their horses is amazing.
